from. Richter who is Editor of the "Asiatic Review" and also the honorary secretary of the Anglo-Netherlands Society and has now apparently acquired the secretaryship of the China Society.

Mr. Hall went to an Anglo-Netherlands Society lunch in November where he met Mr. Richter, but I cannot think of any good reason why you should not decline on his behalf the present invitation.

Mr. Richter is something of a lion hunter.
